On Sunday there will be Rowing and Electoral event on the programme - elections both in the MRC and in Munich for the Olympics.
We also report on the lively events and meetings in the MRC that have recently taken place on the topic of renovation, as well as on the planned auction.
The traditional drive into the blue has heralded the rowing autumn and it continues on ever colder water. Are your life jackets ready for use? On November 1st, they begin Rules of the cold water season, see below.

MRC1880 at World Championship in Shanghai
Kaspar Virnekäs and Tom Tewes literally raised the MRC flag at the World Rowing Championships in Shanghai.
Kaspar achieved a remarkable 3. Place in the C final of the heavily occupying 2 field. Tom was not used as one of two substitutes from the Deutschlandachter.
Invitation to autumn cleaning: 25.10.2025 at 11:00
This year's autumn cleaning will take place on Saturday, 25 October, to which we cordially invite you all.
We'll meet (please punctually) at 11:00 am between the boat halls, at 14:00 there will be a well-deserved refreshment – cooked by Markus Reitner and sponsored by the association. For the sake of completeness, it should be noted that, with the exception of drinks, the kitchen outlet will remain closed between 11:00 and 14:00.
And another call: Please bring household cleaning equipment with!
This year, in addition to the usual routine tasks, we have also planned a few special projects, so that we would be very pleased about a large and active participation:

Report Information day 20 September 2025 and recovery plans
The information day with marketplaces was very well attended with over 80 members. The exchange with the members was intense and we took many suggestions with us.

The extraordinary general meeting on the topic of refurbishment on 11.10.2025 at the BYC Casino was also very well attended and lively (275 members were present or had themselves represented). For this you have already received a report by newsletter (link). The official minutes will follow as soon as possible.
Ideas for MRC1880 auction
Participate in our big auction!
At the info day on September 20th, the auction team has already collected many great ideas together with you. To make our auction as colorful, creative and attractive as possible, we look forward to your suggestions. Whether it's a yoga class on our club grounds, language classes with an hour on the boat to learn the rudder terms, the assignment of a holiday home or a cooking class - there are no limits to your imagination. Send your ideas and suggestions for implementation auktion@mrc1880.de.
The discussed events such as flea market, cocktail evening or readings are also collected here.
Participating is worth twice: You bring momentum and diversity into our club life and at the same time help to reduce our external loans.

Looking back into the Blue 2025

Beginning of the cold water season on 1.11.2025
The cold season is coming, and with it the need to go on the water with a safety vest. So remember that you check your safety vests in time and, if necessary, have them wait before you have to use them from 1 November.
