The old boathouse in Starnberg is home to one of the oldest and most traditional rowing clubs in Bavaria.
We are happy to welcome you as a member.
Our club life is shaped by our motto ‘Rudern.Gemeinsam.Erleben’, our mission statement and initiatives to prevent violence.

Lake Starnberg is one of the most attractive rowing areas in Germany.
The landscape and the weather create a varied backdrop.
The MRC also has a boat hall at the 1972 Olympic track in Oberschleißheim, where everyone can practice (racing) rowing under optimal conditions.

History
In our photo collection we give a small impression of the early history of the Munich Rowing Club v. 1880 e.V. Since the photography in early years was not yet everywhere and as easily available as in today's days, photo documents from the time are rare. In addition, these recordings had to survive two world wars (we are fortunate that this is the case). So this little historical show is more of a mosaic, where many mosaic stones are missing and each has its own story.
Board
The board of directors of the MRC 1880 is divided into the fields of sports, infrastructure, administration, and finance. For better orientation, some exemplary fields of competence are assigned to the members of the Board of Management in the following list.
