Clubhouse renovation – what exactly is planned?

What is it about?

Many of you are already following the planned renovation of our clubhouse with great interest – and we are very pleased about that!

 So that all members and friends of the MRC know exactly what is being created, we would like to create full transparency and present the current plans of our architect Sünder-Plassmann.

State of play of the plans: October 2025

Together, we shape the future of the club – step by step, with a view to tradition, community and the rowing sport that unites us.

Together with the architectural firm Sünder-Plassmann, a concept is being developed that preserves the tried and tested and makes new things possible. On this page we present the planned state, supplemented by exterior views and floor plans.

Boat hall 1 – dedicated to rowing

After the renovation, the hall is again completely available for boats and accessories. This puts the sport back in the center of the house.

Ground floor -

Meeting point for conviviality

A modern kitchen and a small kiosk to serve the terrace are being built here. ideal for social hours after training or on sunny weekends.

First floor -

Room for meeting

Planned attractive living areas, a large hall (e.g. also suitable for yoga or gymnastics) and three new changing rooms for men.

Attic –

the sporty highlight

A very special win: a large sports room With lots of light, vision and space for modern training.

Modern heating technology

with future

Combination of gas heating and heat pump – efficient, sustainable and eligible. According to energy planning, we are thus significantly saving on running costs and taking an important step towards a climate-friendly future.

A win for sport and community

With the refurbishment, we are creating more space for what makes up our club: Passion for rowing, community over generations and a home on the lake that combines tradition and modernity.

Each step brings us closer to our goal – a clubhouse that will strengthen the MRC for the coming decades.
