Subsequently, the admission fee (not applicable if you are already a member of your DRV association) and the membership fee are due.
If you want to become a member of the MRC, you must take part in the beginner's training or prove that you have experience in rowing. The latter is the case if you are a member of another rowing club of the German Rowing Association upon entry. If the rowing experience has been a long time ago, an individual classification is necessary as to whether a beginner's course is mandatory. Please contact the board, who will then name a contact person for the implementation. For the beginner training, a separate registration is required, as there are only a limited number of places.
In order for you to quickly feel comfortable with us and find a connection, we recommend actively searching for suitable rowing groups or contact with other members at our events.

End Membership
If you wish to terminate your membership in the MRC 1880, we very much regret this. Withdrawal is only possible at the end of a calendar year. He must by 30 September at the latest in writing to the Board. In addition, due to the imminent surcharge due to the renovation of the clubhouse, there is currently a special right of termination for members to: 15 January 2026.
Until the termination of membership, all rights and obligations of the member remain. Contributions, contributions in kind and contributions are not reimbursed.
To make it as easy as possible for all parties involved, please proceed as follows:
- Please contact our Board of Directors, taking into account the notice period stipulated in the Articles of Association here. A termination by letter or even by registered letter is not necessary – in fact, we ask you to refrain from doing so due to additional costs.
- You can expect a short confirmation of the incoming mail or e-mail within a few days.
- The actual withdrawal act will be documented in our administrative system in due course. You will receive a separate confirmation e-mail on the shelf. This process takes place on a regular basis, but not on a daily basis. We ask for patience and understanding.
Email mailing list
E-mail distribution lists of the MRC1880 are not automatically unsubscribed. The reason is, among other things, that many memberships formally remain until the end of the year after the withdrawal declaration has been made. However, the board notifications sent by email carry a link in the Abbinder, with the help of which you can conveniently carry out your event yourself. For email distribution of training groups, etc., we refer to the corresponding decentralized coordinators.
Periods of notice
On any given occasion, we request compliance with the stipulated notice period. Unfortunately, we receive more notices shortly before or after the end of the year, gladly in connection with the request for exemptions. However, the in principle more comprehensible temporal link to the collection of contributions leads to a delay in the collection of contributions for all other members, and to a disproportionate communication and administrative burden. We therefore ask for your understanding that we feel bound by the statutory notice period in the interest of all members.
