Together we renovate our boathouse.
What is it about?
Since 1884, our clubhouse in Starnberg has been a place for community, performance, youth development and rowing.
But time has left its mark – energetically outdated, fire protection restricted, too small for modern needs. Now is the time to act together and make our heart fit for the future.
What are we planning?
Our vision is clear:
- Renovation in historical style according to monument protection requirements
- Modern sports rooms for youth, grassroots and competitive sports
- A multifunctional hall for sports and social gatherings
- Energy modernisation – climate-friendly and sustainable
Completion: Expected end of rowing season 2028
Why You Are Important
You can't do it without you. Our association thrives on the commitment of its members. With your donation, you not only secure the future of the house – you become part of a project that radiates far beyond us.
Your donation – small or large – brings us closer to our goal. Every contribution counts. Each euro shows: We are pulling together – as if in a boat. For our planning, we assume that each member contributes an average of €1,000 – also in partial amounts or staggered over the entire construction period. This is how we manage to get our century project on track together.

So that you know exactly where your money is going, we offer you two possibilities to bring your donation directly to the water:
Our recommendation: Donation to the German Foundation for the Protection of Monuments (DSD)
Why? Donations to the DSD benefit our MRC boathouse: and the best: Every euro donated is doubled by a generous sponsor! Therefore, this is our preferred path.

How can you donate?
Quite simply – the way that suits you best!
Whether as a one-off amount or as regular support (e.g. annually at the end of the year) – Every donation brings us together to our goal.
You decide for yourself the time and amount of your donation. A donation receipt will of course be issued.
Important for us: So that we can plan well, we look forward to a short feedback from you on how you would like to support the project.

Completion of detailed planning and further acquisition of funding and donations
September 2025 (20.9):
Organisation of an information event for members and supporters:
Autumn 2025 (11/10):
Extraordinary General Assembly with decision-making on the implementation of the project
Summer 2026:
(preliminary. Decision, financing and building permit): Start of construction - Start with roof and facade renovation
2026-2027:
Main construction phase with full implementation of the refurbishment
End of 2028:
Completion of the project - in time for the 2029 rowing season
