- Annual General Meeting in March 2025

Please keep in mind closed doors and windows in the main house. Because several windows in the hall were open overnight, it rained heavily. Please always make sure that everything is closed when you leave the house, thank you!
As every year, this password changed for the internal area of the MRC1880 homepage.
The old year ended radiantly with numerous New Year's rowers on the sunny Lake Starnberg.
For the New Year we wish you many beautiful rowing experiences and successes!
Your board of directors

Donations to the MRC1880 2024 and membership fees 2025
Thank you very much for your generous donations!
Last year you donated more than 80 thousand euros for the club in general, for the youth, for the sport, for boats and equipment and for various purchases and events. This is a great contribution for which we sincerely thank you as a board member!
You support our active club and sports life. You also contribute to the fact that we can increase our necessary reserves for the planned conversion of the boathouse. We are very happy about this great donation culture!
Debit contributions for 2025
Please keep in mind that we will deduct the contributions for membership, for lockers and possibly other agreed services by 31 January.
Many greetings
Stefan
From house and yard: Main building, Showers, Lockers
Men's shower
After problems with the humidity in the men's shower, a motion detector now controls the ventilation system. Therefore, please leave the switch at setting 5 on the control box. The ventilation switches on and off automatically.
Main house coordinator
The House and Courtyard team has expanded to include the post of Main House Coordinator: Arne Kullmann has agreed to take over this position, which has been vacant for many years. Arne will keep a watchful eye on keeping the main house in order. He will coordinate repairs and occasionally ask you for help. Thank you, dear Arne, for taking over the job.
Locker management Men's locker room
The locker situation in the men's changing rooms could now be largely regulated. Currently, keys are imitated and the orphaned and emptied lockers are thoroughly cleaned. Nicole Kofler, together with Dietrich Falke, will take care of the administration and awarding of the vacant Herrenspinde. Please contact Nicole via email herren-spinde@mrc1880.de, If you want a locker. It should be ready by mid-February.
In the case of ladies Renate Blodig is still the contact person. You can reach them at: damen-spinde@mrc1880.de.
Our story: Securing and digitizing the MRC1880 archive
The MRC archive has been largely handed down since the club was founded. The historical files, club magazines and especially photo albums cannot be stored safely with us because of the temperature fluctuations and the humidity. After extensive consultation with our history team, the Board would therefore like to hand over the Association Archives to the Starnberg City Archives, as the MRSV has already done.
The City Archives will professionally process, store and digitise all the material in accordance with the archives – completely free of charge for the MRC. The MRC receives a complete digital copy of all submitted documents.
Access to the originals as well as the use of the documents in the city archives are possible at any time, of course with due regard for personal protection. The digitized form (pdfs) and tools such as keyword search even make research easier. Professional archivists are happy to help.
We are pleased to know the valuable archive material in the best hands and to be able to pass it on to other generations.
Many thanks to our history team Henriette Holz, Julia Devlin, Ulrike Mertz and Sabine Korger for addressing this important topic.
Annual General Meeting 2025 followed by a meal: reminder
Our JHV 2025 will take place on 22.03.25 in the Schlossberghalle in Starnberg. A TOP will be the report of the architectural firm Sünder-Plassmann on the ongoing feasibility study on the conversion of our clubhouse. Since this may interest many of us, we have booked the large hall in the Schlossberghalle.
As last year, we want to conclude the meeting with a relaxed end and dinner together. For this we have reserved 120 seats in the Tutzinger Hof (200 m away). It would be helpful if you express your interest soon, so that further places can be reserved if necessary.
Please send your pre-registration by 20.02.25 to the following e-mail address:
Pre-registration _JHV _Essen@MRC1880.de.
The official invitation to the JHV follows on time.

Ernst Hoferichter Prize for Josef Brustmann
Silent and modest, as he is, our club member, the cabaret artist, musician and author Josef Brustmann was awarded the Ernst Hoferichter Prize 2025. The prize, endowed with 5,000 euros, has been awarded annually since 1975 to Munich-based authors of narrative art who, like Ernst Hoferichter, combine originality with cosmopolitanism and humor. The prize was donated by Franzi Hoferichter, the widow of the Munich writer. The award is decided by the Advisory Board of the Ernst Hoferichter Foundation, which also acts as a jury. More information can be found in the Munich Town Hall-Umschau 11/24 (City hall Umschau 227 / 2024).
Dear Joseph, we congratulate everyone from the bottom of our hearts and rejoice with you!
Greetings - Your Board
