We also ask you to register for the summer festival, report on the past and planned training camp on Lake Como, safety issues and the repair of the damage caused by heavy rain.

Planning Summer Festival on Saturday, 6 July 2024
Our MRC summer party will take place on 6.7.24. Please contact us by no later than Wednesday, 3.7.24, 6 p.m., binding on (sommerfest2024@mrc1880.de) so that we can plan the supply of food and drinks appropriately. Otherwise, there is a risk of undersupply or an unpredictable deficit.
A self-involvement in the form of salads, cakes, side dishes of other kinds is highly welcome, see Bring-in link (external link). In addition, you can Uschi.altendorfer@t-online.de Tell them what you want to add.
Some had already announced their help with the preparation and implementation of the festival at the time of registration. It is foreseeable that we will have to ask other summer festival participants to participate for a certain time (about 1 h) in the distribution of food and drinks as well as in the kitchen service in order to distribute the necessary work as evenly as possible. For this we will prepare posters in front of the kitchen and on the pergola, in which you can register.
Also for the club regatta in Gig-4x with St. with limited space you can throw your name in the virtual lot pot when registering. This helps a lot to be able to carry out the boat occupations in a short time.
Preparation and setup begin after Saturday morning rowing.
The rowing operation is therefore closed from 11:30 a.m.
Procedure and programme
From 3 p.m.: registration: Here you can buy tokens for food and drinks; similar to what some of the après-party at the Passauer Regatta know. Lots may also be issued here for free places at the club regatta, unless already filled by registration in advance.
3:30 p.m.: Welcome and programme presentation, announcement of the draw for the club regatta, honors for the mileage day. Moving for the regatta. Drinks, coffee and cakes are available.
From approx. 4:15 p.m.: Club regatta: (route: Start between boat harbour and BYC, approx. 250 m, destination: Visibility axis along MRC pier. Depending on the number of entries in 4 or 8 fours, quarter-finals, semi-finals in the knockout system.
From approx. 18:00: Barrel sting, Opening of the buffet.
Bring a good mood, then it will be a nice party!
On the Bürgerpark there will be live music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from the cultural festival of the city of Starnberg, in which we will participate (currently the band Loamsiada is planned for this day. It is a band from Augsburg that is musically oriented to La Brass Banda. Anyone who wants to listen: Loamsiada – Mr. Taxi Man – YouTube).
Later in the evening Sabine Korger will hopefully delight us again with a fire in the bowl.

Board again complete
The sports department will be taken over by Frank Salzmann in the future. Together with Stefan Spindler (as already announced new Finance Department), the Executive Board is thus complete again.
An in-depth presentation of Stefan and Frank will take place shortly.
The new board of directors spontaneously introduced itself on Saturday at the MRC in Starnberg.
Training camp at Lake Como
In the spring, a group of adults went to a training camp in Verceia on Lake Como. Here is a report.

Defying the heavy rain
House and yard swirled on Saturday and dedicated the damage caused by the last heavy rain as well as the prevention of new damage. The jetty has been given a new ‘polar extension’ suitable for flooding, the slipped tow bar has been erected again and fed with 2 tonnes of gravel. The bathing jetty was reinforced with new beams during operation.
The plaster in the stairwell, which was loose after water intrusion, was removed and the leak in the aft barn roof was patched with new bitumen.
Many thanks to all diligent helpers from the gravel shovel to the fire station.
Security issues
It is not yet clear whether and how the safety training will take place on Sunday. Information will follow.
