Clubhouse renovation: Reaching a goal again!
Dear club members,
the clubhouse is empty (almost besenrein) on time (see pictures), and the logistical preparatory work for the interim phase is practically completed:
- Dismantling the historic lockers
- Relocation of the furniture to a storage room in Penzberg
- Ergometer in power room or to Oberschleißheim
- Conversion of deckchair sheds into men's changing rooms
- Division of women's changing rooms into men's and women's areas
- Design of an interim kitchen
- Redesign Pergola for interim operation
- uvm
… so that the construction site can now be set up on time and the rowing operation can still continue.
Stefanie planned everything perfectly, I was allowed to organize and many (!) club members helped. Even though it was often like being in an anthill, and planner and organiser sometimes had the impression that ‘everyone works, but not what they are supposed to do’, swarm intelligence and team spirit have led to a great success. Thank you from my side to all the helpers.
And I would like to thank Ulrike on our behalf for her care of the historical heritage and especially Stefanie for her overview and her (always) strict words.
Now we have achieved an important goal, but the next one is already waiting for us, namely the slimming of the shingles. For this purpose, there is an Excel table under the following link, in which ‘Scaffolding helpers’ with a 1 and ‘Soil helpers’ with a 2 may be entered: See also the Newsletter August (1) 2026. In the coming weeks, we will start planning and contact all potential helpers.
I am sure that we will also be able to cope with the challenges ahead.
Rolf Schuh
