Anticipation: The preparations for our summer party including a sporty additional program have begun. Lots of people come to celebrate on July 6th!
News from the kitchen: Our new MRC chef Laetitia has started to organize the supply of pretzels, cakes and drinks, and is still looking for a co-chef to manage the kitchen together in the team.
Also new is the floor of our terrace, which can now be used again. The rotten wooden planks were removed.
Our homepage also gets a new face. People who want to participate in the design and editing are wanted!
Change: On the Board of Management, the two Heads of Sport and Finance, Ulf Hallmann and Lucas Artmann, resigned. More information will follow.
Continuing education: Ulf calls on the members to attend the Obleute training.

Summer Festival 6 July 2024 from 15:30
On Saturday, July 6, 2024, we want to celebrate our MRC summer party together!
In addition to the motto of cheerful get-togethers, exchanges and encounters, we also organize a sporting supporting programme. Of course we hope for good weather and your active participation. In bad weather, we set up in the boat hall or in the power room / ladies' house and prepare in any case an atmospheric ambience and good supply of food and drink. Contributions to this are welcome, more on this a little later.
After a long break, a ‘club rowing championship’ is to be held again on this day in fours or eights. So that a colorful mixture of all MCRler comes about, we loosen the teams for the competition.
In order to prepare and carry out the festival, we call on all volunteers to contact us.
In addition, we ask for your early and binding registration, so that we can carry out the preparations accurately. So please write here, Whether you come, with how many, and where you can help.

Kitchen - Co-chef wanted!
Do you want to continue to enjoy sociable rounds in the club? To ensure that the gastronomy continues to run in the future, we are still looking for someone to take over the organisation of the kitchen together with Laetitia.
The chefs ensure that the supplies of drinks, pretzels, butter, etc. are replenished in time, and the kitchen is kept in order.

Our terrace is fully usable again!
After the floor of the terrace was no longer safe for traffic and there were threats of injury when entering, we decided to completely remove the rotten and brittle wooden floor.
Now, for the first time, we have the concrete floor in the condition that served the MRC 1880 as a dance floor for many decades. Reconstruction of the wooden floor is possible, but HuH is currently dealing with the aftermath of heavy rain.
Now we wish everyone happy summer days on the terrace!

As already reported, we are working on a new homepage.
Are you interested in participating and creating contributions, for example about our athletes or specific regattas?
Then come on Wednesday, 10.7. at 19:00 in the MRC for a brief introduction to the new homepage (the structure has changed somewhat and is still in development), otherwise there will also be written guidance. No matter how, feel free to contact us Constance.
Basic training
As already announced many times, the MRC basic training is an essential part of our new training concept for supervisors. A first training for our multipliers has already taken place. Now it's time to offer it to a broad membership base.
The next training will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. instead. We should take at least 4 hours to do this. Please register for this with a short e-mail Ulf.hallmann@mrc1880.de.
We will determine the location of the training if we can foresee the number of participants. In this context, I would have two requests:
- If you have a space or know of one where we could do the training, please let me know. Interesting are rooms of any size, as we do not yet know how many people we will count.
- If someone could contribute a projector to the event, please also indicate when registering.
