Low water and embarkation of boats
The water level is currently so low that we ask the gig boats no longer over the ramp at the motorboat port in place. Use the Role on the jetty or sets the boats longitudinal one.
The board of directors and the in-house and court team are currently examining which technical solutions can make it easier to get started in low water. We will inform you about the further steps.
Clubhouse
From the construction diary
The refurbishment work has begun. The scaffolding stands, the water supply in the old shower area and in the kitchen is decommissioned. Showering is no longer possible. The heaters were also dismantled to a minimum. In many parts of the house there is no more electricity.
Next, the demolition work starts. Walls are removed, the cladding of the sloping roofs is removed and floor coverings and tiles are torn out.
Unfortunately, there is an additional challenge: The pollutant analysis found asbestos in tile and floor adhesives. Therefore, we must take special care in the demolition work. This makes the work more complex and takes longer.
You can continue to use the toilets in the staircase wing. The small changing room in the former board room is also available. However, the upper floor no longer has electricity.
Beware of construction site!
Around our house is being built. Therefore, please observe the following safety rules. In order to ensure that work progresses safely and on schedule, the following applies:
Please do not enter:
- the construction site area
- the Scaffolding
- the car park – at no time of day or night
Also the stay in the parking lot is currently not allowed. There is a risk of accident. In addition, parked cars or people can hinder the construction work.
Exception: Delivery traffic
Only in justified exceptional cases and after prior consultation with Stefanie Monecke Vehicles are allowed to enter the car park for a short time. This applies exclusively to necessary delivery traffic, for example for:
- Boats and other trailers
- Shopping for the kitchen
- Consumables

> 🚲 It is gratifying to see that many more MRC players are now by bicycle coming. On the Bürgerwiese directly at our roller shutter there is a mostly empty Bike racks. You are welcome to use it. Please do not ride a bicycle over the parking lot (construction site area, see above)
Light switch of the new boat hall
As in the boat halls of the clubhouse, Michael Zink installed a radio light switch directly on the inside of the gate of the new boat hall some time ago. You no longer have to crawl behind all boats to turn on the lights. The advantage of the radio switch is that it switches itself off after some time.
Removing shingles
The shingle removal starts in October. In order to remove the shingles as undamaged as possible and hand them over to a historic hardware store for reuse, we want to do this in-house. In addition to the financial savings, this recycling aspect brings us valuable advantages in our application Federal grants from the Special Programme for the Protection of Monuments. We all keep our fingers crossed for the proposal.
In the Crewman, various appointments are available for skid removal from 29.09.26 (filter by other appointment type). Feel free to get involved.
Many people are needed on the scaffolding (after safety instruction) and on the ground. We have protective equipment (S3 shoes, helmets and gloves) on site. All helpers still bring shoes with a thick sole, bicycle helmet and gloves, if the equipment is not enough for everyone or not all sizes are available.
Club life
Autumn brings some important dates around our clubhouse and club life. Please note the following dates already:
Autumn plaster on October 24th
On Saturday 24 October 2026 at 11:00 Start our autumn cleaning. This year it will be a little different: Cleaning in the clubhouse is omitted, but there are other tasks around the site.
The programme includes: Autumn cleaning at the women's house, mothballing equipment for the winter, removing shingles, preparations for our big club festival

Clubfest on October 25th
On Sunday, 25 October 2026, from 9:00 a.m. We cordially invite you to a special day on our club grounds. We want to celebrate together as a colorful club family, toast and look at what lies ahead.
We start in the morning with the Rowing. Please register for this in the Crewman. Then we have a barbecue together for lunch.
From approx. 12:00 The official part begins with three special moments:
Start of refurbishment work
We give the go-ahead for the refurbishment of our clubhouse and jointly launch the future of our club.
Inauguration of the interim rooms
Our new dodging rooms are ready and will be officially opened.
Grand award ceremony
We celebrate the successes of our athletes and honor their achievements.
Then it goes on comfortably: With coffee and cake and later with DJ and music we want to celebrate together.
Registration: Please report to the Crewman separately for the brother at 9:00 am and for the party from about 12:00 pm on. If you bring guests, please enter their number in the comment in the Crewman.

At the start of the festival there are delicacies from the barbecue. For the buffet in the afternoon, we look forward to the goodies brought with us. Particularly practical: Finger food that can be eaten without dishes – sweet or savoury.
