Result Election in MRC1880

On Saturday, the MRC Board was re-elected for the coming financial years 2026-2028.

All current members of the Board of Directors, with more than 96% out of a total of 158 votes voted – a strong sign of support also for the upcoming refurbishment project. The Board would like to thank the members for their trust and great support.

Following the proposal of the Honorary Council, the Board appointed Dietrich Falke as an honorary member, which was praised by the members with long standing ovations. The minutes of the meeting are here on the internal homepage.

The Protocol of Extraordinary General Assembly of 11.10.2026 is now also on the internal homepage and can be viewed (link).

Men’s Rowing Challenge 2025

The days are getting shorter, and it's time for rowing training on the ergometer again. Just in time for the start of the Ergo season, the DRV and Concept2 have now declared the Men’s Rowing Challenge for the first time, identical to the one that always takes place for women in January. And we from the MRC would like to be part of it!

Men’s Rowing Challenge - Info and results | rudern.de

Here are the conditions for participation:

  • male starters from 12 years
  • the challenge is open to club members, but also friends and acquaintances
  • all challenges must be rowed with a Concept2 Indoor Rower (Model B, C, D, E or RowErg)
  • the challenges can be driven in the club at a training session (your children's, youth and Munich8 coaches are informed, but special ergo dates will also be entered for the challenge in Crewman), or at home on your own Concept2 Ergo
  • You can register on this website: https://challenge.rudern.de/signup (please select MRC1880 as club)

As with the women, there are four challenges that must be driven within a certain week:

  • 01-08 November: 8 minutes-Challenge (entry by 8 November at the latest)
  • 9-15 November: 15 minutes-Challenge (entry by 15 November at the latest)
  • 16-22 November: 22 minutes-Challenge (entry by November 22 at the latest)
  • 23-30 November: 30 minutes-Challenge (entry by 30 November at the latest)

For this, you set the ergo to the required time, drive as many meters as possible, and then send a picture (better still a selfie) of the ergo display (with display of the meters driven!) to our Challenge email addressergo-challenge@mrc1880.de

Then you enter your meters into the Challenge Portal, and the MRC Challenge Managers will verify the meters in the Portal. Each challenge can only be entered once per person, and no longer counts when the deadline for entry has passed (i.e. you cannot enter meters for the 8-minute challenge on 10.11.2025). Our collected meters are then compared and ranked in the Challenge Portal with other participating clubs.

The most important thing about these challenges is: Just drive! It doesn't have to be your best ergo performance ever. Many meters are good, but Participate at all It's better! The more men participate, the more meters we drove together as a club.

So, dear MRC men: Log in to the portal and join us!

We are looking forward to a lively participation!

If you have any further questions about the challenge, feel free to contact: ergo-challenge@mrc1880.de
