Violence Prevention in the MRC1880
With the aim of continuously developing our club culture, a team is actively working on implementing recommendations and binding guidelines from sports associations, such as the German Olympic Sports Federation and the DRV, in terms of respect and violence prevention. In exchange with the management, work and sports groups, as many members as possible should participate in developing suitable approaches for our club, which everyone supports and motivates everyone. Thus, we want to achieve more than just post topic-specific papers and links on our website, just to comply with the obligation or to look good on the outside!
Step by step we want to proceed with this in the MRC1880, e.g. with a survey via questionnaire, which we will send in the new year to all children, adolescents and young adults who are members of the MRC (more detailed information will follow shortly). We will also display posters and posters on the subject of ‘respectful handling’ in several places in our homes. The aim is to promote awareness of possible violence and its recognition. Contact points or persons are also named here, to whom one can contact in the event of an observed incident.
We would like to thank you very much for your cooperation and support.
Annual General Meeting 2025 followed by a meal
Our JHV 2025 will take place on 22.03.25 in the Schlossberghalle in Starnberg.
A TOP will be the report of the architectural firm Sünder-Plassmann on the ongoing feasibility study on the conversion of our clubhouse. Since this may interest many of us, we have booked the large hall in the Schlossberghalle.
As last year, we want to conclude the meeting with a relaxed end and a joint dinner. For this we have reserved 120 seats in the Tutzinger Hof (200 m away). It would be helpful if you express your interest soon, so that further places can be reserved if necessary.
Please send your pre-registration by 20.12. to the following e-mail address: Pre-registration _JHV _Essen@MRC1880.de.
The official invitation to the JHV follows on time in the new year.
Training for Obleute 2025
The training for prospective supervisors is part of the supervisor training and should be attended by all active members as far as possible.
Ulf offers another appointment:
Saturday, January 18, 1:00 p.m., Duration: About 4 hours.
Please register at Ulf.hallmann@mrc1880.de. We will announce the place in good time.

Feathered winter guests and driving regulations
As you know, the rules of the Ramsar Agreement apply in winter. The implementation on site in Starnberg has been taken over by the LBV (Landesbund für Vogel- und Naturschutz in Bayern). Soon the bells will come (Bird portrait: Clamps - NABU, external link) as last winter guests to us. These ducks have a very high escape distance and take a relatively long time to calm down after a disturbance.
Be sure to observe our rules of travel, especially at a sufficient distance in the area of the Rose Island, which ensures that the birds can rest: Security – Münchener Ruder-Club von 1880 e.V. Accumulations of water birds are to be circumvented large-scale (at least 400 meters distance if possible!).
Greetings - Your Board
