At the Triple Championships on 11 and 12 July 2026 in Krefeld, our rowers presented themselves in a strong form. During the event, the German Championships in rowing (medium and large boats), the Open German Masters Championships and the 78. German University Championships (DHM) Rowing performed. With gold, silver and bronze, our club returned home with a complete set of medals.
Friederike Winter won a championship title in the Frauen-Achter (MW 8+ C). In a racing community of a total of eight clubs, the crew prevailed in the final and won superior gold.
In the Masters men's double-four D, Holger Gerhardt and Stefan Hamels together with their team achieved a strong 2. Place in the final. All they had to do was beat the exceptionally strong crew from Schwerin.
Stefan also showed a convincing performance in the Masters Men's One D. After second place in the lead-up, he rowed in the final to an excellent 3. He took the place and won the bronze medal.
In the Master Mixed Double Four D, Stefan Hamels and Holger Gerhardt reached the final together with their team after a strong second place in the lead-up. Place finished.
In addition, Friederike also competed in the mixed-eight of the seniors as part of the parallel German Grand Boat Championships. In a racing community with Berlin clubs, the team finished second. He finished in the lead and reached a respectable 6th place in the final. Place.
With gold, silver and bronze, the championship weekend was a complete success for our club. Congratulations to all athletes on these outstanding achievements!
