Today there is the latest information on the progress of the refurbishment as well as on the outcome of the elections of the MRC Annual General Assembly on 25 April.
And a request: Get actively involved in the planned MRC flea market – another building block to finance the refurbishment!

Progress Remediation
Even if only sporadically visible, the project Clubhouse refurbishment is progressing behind the scenes. By submitting the construction application in December 2025, we already had ‘Bergfest’ and a catch on the first 4 of 8 planning phases. We now expect the building permit every day.
At the moment, planners and construction team are working on phases 5-7, i.e. execution planning until obtaining the offers from craft companies for roof and facade renovation. There is an approximate schedule.
In September, Phase 8 will finally begin. Then it's off to a good start: The scaffolding comes, the crane and the roof refurbishment starts. Of course, a party should not be missing. We will keep you informed about the exact date.
Meanwhile, the first logistics work has begun on the spring cleaning: Furniture from the 1. OG was taken to Oberschleißheim in a temporary storage above the boat halls. In addition, the remaining metal spiders were carried from the attic to the former board room. The ladies have also made their sunbeds available as changing benches, so that a nice interim dressing room has been created in the former board room, which is waiting for lively use. We are currently looking for a dry storage room for our works of art. If you can offer something like this for at least 2 years, please contact us urgently stefanie.monecke@mrc.1880.de.
Donations and funding
In terms of funding, there is good news: The MRC has already cracked the 500000 EUR donation mark - half a million EUR are thus (in addition to the reserves of the association) available for refurbishment. Many thanks to all donors!
The targeted EUR 650000 donations are now within reach. Together we can do that too.
Further positive news comes from the protection of monuments. Our clubhouse history, developed by Ulrike Mertz, our refurbishment concept, developed by our architect Sünder-Plassmann, as well as our financing concept, developed by CFO Stefan Spindler and his team were able to convince the upper and lower conservation authority. They now recommend us for federal funding, as well as state funding through the parliamentary group initiative. Only a few projects are recommended for these two large funding pots. We can apply for it. Keep your fingers crossed for us to win the contract.

This donation account also needs to be filled. Please make friends, family and acquaintances aware of this. MRC members are happy to continue to donate to our MRC account, because this money is directly available to us and helps to avoid expensive interim financing.
Photovoltaic system on the roofs of the MRC
Stefan Holz and the energy team have developed a concept to install a PV system on the new boat hall and/or pergola, even if the MRC currently lacks the financial means to do so. It looks like this: Interested MRC members form an operating company that buys, installs and leases the PV system to the MRC for 15 years. After that, the plant goes into possession
of the MRC. With our energy concept based on a heat pump, this makes perfect sense.

The Annual General Meeting 2026 on 25.04.2026 was well attended and lively.
The members of the Honorary Council and the auditors were re-elected. The results of these elections are summarised here:

More stalls needed for the charity flea market
As already announced, we want to turn our club grounds into a cheerful and colourful flea market on 16 May from 11:00 to 14:00 (replacement date in case of rain 13.6.26). We would like to open the site to visitors and walkers and look forward to many of you joining us. We still need sellers!
People who want to have a table with goods for sale, please register by 03.05. at Kristin Teuber by Claudia Kühlein. If there is not enough participation, the flea market will be cancelled.
Browse all times in your stores, apartments and cellars for beautiful things, also from parents and grandparents. Participate actively and numerously, and get in touch with the organizers!
