Just one more step to the Olympics: Kaspar Virnekäs successful in Varese

The Munich rowing club from 1880 looks proudly to Varese. There, the German four-man with Kaspar Virnekäs on board took a proud fourth place in the A-final. The boat narrowly beat Switzerland, one of the two main competitors for the Olympic qualification.

The German foursome met the reigning world champions from Great Britain, Ukraine, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The race was extremely close and Kaspar finished fourth with his rowing mates less than a second behind.

At the Olympic Qualification in Lucerne, the German four-man is now in second place to solve the Olympic ticket.

We sincerely congratulate you on this first step and wish you all the best for the next one.
