German Junior Championships from 20.-23.6.24 in Essen

The ‘Bayernexpress’ in the eighth race: a recording of the DRV.

At the DJM in Essen, our U17 juniors were able to achieve very nice successes: Max Seebacher was able to reach the A-Final in a strong field of 14 boats in the Junior B-lightweight double-seater m. St. in racing together with the Passauer RV, the RG Munich and the RC Aschaffenburg, where he achieved a respectable fifth place.

Konrad Heinrich im finished fourth in the Junior A-Einer with a total of 24 reports in the Hope Run.

Noah Zils and Jakob Kretzschmar, who also started without in the twosome, jumped in at short notice for the sick Julian Beck, among other things, in the Junior B-Doppelvierer m. St. (in racing association with the Lauinger RSC Donau and the Regensburger RK). The young team reached the B-Final in their first German championship in a well-occupied field – a remarkable achievement!

Our U17-Achtercrew (in racing partnership with the RG Munich, the Lauinger RSC Donau, the RC Aschaffenburg and the Regensburger RK) with Jonas Fischbach, Wilhelm Arlt, Elias Krauthause and Justus Kondziella from the MRC on board were able to win their lead in a strong fight and thus secure the direct entry into the A-final. There, the eighth had to give himself only to the favored boat of the Hamburger Landesruderverband beaten and thus won an excellent silver medal. Great job, guys!

On the other places were racing communities with rowers from Berlin, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Münster, Hamm, Minden Dortmund and Essen, among others, an illustrious field!

Congratulations to all rowers (our successful juniors Emma and Pia could not defend their titles last year, final exams in school prevented this).

Our trainers Andi, Charlotte, Lukas – and new on board: David – as well as our BFD student Lissy, thank you very much for your successful work!
