First of all: A big thank you from the board
The Board would like to thank all those who have joined us in the last few weeks and have taken part in our work so that we can be done on time. The flushing of the sewer ring and the associated road closure this week meant that we had to be ready a week earlier than planned. And we did it! With your great help!!!! That was a huge achievement. When it comes down to it, you can rely on the MRCler. That's a great feeling for us as a board member. Thank you to everyone from the youth to our oldies for being so active. Above all, Rolf, without whose unshakable calm probably many things would not have worked out.
You will soon get to know the interim solutions and how beautiful they have become. And all with recycled material. The deckchair shelves and the bench planks of the terrace have now become changing benches, also the large bench in the hall. The panelling under the roof became a new appliance shed in the pergola. And the rickety doctor's office cart of the BRK room has turned into a pretty serving counter. The interim measures were led by:
- the new "Gentlemen's Club" (men's changing room in the sun lounger shed) Bernd Kühlein, Klaus Flügel, Michael Alt and Peter Gerhard
- of the pergola equipment shed: Dominique Trösch and Arne Kullmann
- the Café Interim: Claudia Kühlein and Kathrin Falke-Schmidt
- Remodeling women's house: Anja Eckert, Samantha Seymour, Manja Arlt and Martina Kaiser as well as Paul Fillmore and Ennes Auerwald.
- Spindle clearance or spindle resorting: Dietrich Falke, Michael Zink and Renate Blodig
- …. and many others who simply packed up when needed.

That's how it should go with rowing
- Mostly without interference. Only on a few days no rowing will be possible during the construction phase, there may be minor restrictions.
That's how it's supposed to be at Café Interim
- There will continue to be a kitchen.
- Since we do not have any washing facilities, each cup, plate and, if necessary, cutlery is brought along, which everyone rinses at home. For environmental reasons, we would like to do without disposable tableware.
- In the future, there will be coffee, tea and drinks that can be dispensed in bottles.
- Brezn are bought by the baker and therefore become a bit more expensive.
- The kitchen service sets up furniture and then cleans it up again so that the sunbathing lawn can be used as such again.
From Saturday 12.09. courageous gentlemen can try out the new changing facilities in the ladies' house and in the gentlemen's club:
Here's how it should go in the ladies' house:
- From 12.09. the ladies please use the back entrance of the ladies house and the gentlemen the front.
- Those who want to take a shower can do so on a suspended schedule. Ladies and gentlemen alternately. So that the ladies can continue to use their toilet while men shower, please walk dressed up to the shower area behind the shower curtain.
- WCs: The ladies use their toilets in front of the shower area, the gentlemen use the toilets in the hallway. Further toilets are still available in the Clubhaus EG
- For both men and women: During rowing bags and clothing in the locker or on the locker or on the shelves, so that the benches are again available to others.
- Both ladies and gentlemen have only a reduced number of lockers available. Thank you to the ladies who have vacated their locker so that the gentlemen can get their place. If you urgently need a locker, please contact damen-spinde@mrc1880.de or herren-spinde@mrc1880.de. Please understand that with more applications than lockers, we have to choose who gets one. The rest are on the waiting list.
- Unfortunately, previous appeals for some ladies are fizzled out, so here again very clearly for everyone: It is banned To walk drip-wet from the lake to the changing room or drip-wet to leave the shower area to the changing room. The floor becomes mirror-smooth when it is wet. There was another accident. If someone gets hurt, we will take responsibility for the puddles. Be so good and just take a towel with you.
This is what the Gentlemen's Club should do:
- Here, too, the benches should be kept largely free.
- There is a valuables locker that you are welcome to use for the time of your trip. Please leave the keys for the next one and don't take them home. If you lose your key, please contact Michael Zink immediately at Herren-spinde@mrc1880.de.
- ‘Showering’ is carried out under the outdoor shower or in the lake
- Otherwise, what is on the door sign applies.
Furthermore, the small men's changing room in the former board room available. However, not during the demolition work (see below). However, the showers in the clubhouse will be closed from 15.09.
We certainly haven't been able to think about everything. If you have any wishes or suggestions regarding changing rooms or encounter any problems, please contact Paul Fillmore, Ennes Auerwald for the gentlemen and Manja Arlt and Martina Keyser for the ladies. They will bundle everything together so that we can find solutions quickly.

- only the boat halls, the toilets in the EG Clubhaus and the small men's changing room in the former board room may be used. The rest of the house is locked from there.
- the parking lot is completely closed for 2 years. It is reserved for craftsmen and materials. Please respect that. Inform yourself in good time about opportunities to come to the club in public. Please don't stand there when there seems to be space. It can be used quickly, even for shunting trucks.
- MRClers use the garden gate. The parking lot and thus also the roller door are also closed to pedestrians.
- 28.09.2026 to 06.11.2026
- There is a container between the two boat gates. Boating should be possible normally.
- The clubhouse (except boat halls) is completely closed due to demolition work and pollutant remediation. The men who use lockers in the small changing room, please empty them for the period.
